Responsible Gambling

If gambling is causing you harm, help is available 24/7. Call or text 1-800-GAMBLER now, or visit ncpgambling.org.

Gambling should always be entertainment, never a way to make money or escape problems. poig.org is committed to promoting safer play. This page explains the warning signs, the tools available, and where to get free, confidential help.

Set limits before you play

  • Decide a budget you can afford to lose — and stop when you reach it.
  • Set a time limit for each session.
  • Never chase losses or gamble to recover money.
  • Don't gamble under the influence or when upset.

Operator tools

Every casino we list offers deposit limits, loss limits, session reminders, cool-off periods and self-exclusion. Because offshore operators are not part of US state self-exclusion programs (like state voluntary-exclusion lists), you must set these limits directly with each operator.

Warning signs of problem gambling

  • Spending more than you can afford, or more than you intended.
  • Borrowing money or selling possessions to gamble.
  • Lying about how much you gamble.
  • Gambling interfering with work, relationships or sleep.

Gambling and minors

You must be at least 18 (21 in some states and at some operators) to gamble. We support age-verification and tools such as GamBlock and NetNanny to prevent underage access.
